ASU is classified as a Hispanic-serving institution with 26 percent of the on-campus student population comprising of Hispanic students. In addition, 22 percent of online learners are comprised of Hispanic students as well. Students can find resources and support services through the recently launched site hsi.asu.edu.

At Florida International University, 66 percent of the student population is Hispanic. Additionally, FIU has the highest rate of Hispanic graduates than any other university in the US and the university also has the highest number of Hispanic students in STEM.

Texas Tech University has an undergraduate Hispanic student population of 29.7 percent. The university supports a host of programs and services for underrepresented students, students of color, and first-gen students including students who are Hispanic. Among the available programs is the popular Hispanic Serving Institution Week which is a week full of events to start out Hispanic/Latinx Heritage month.

The University of Arizona’s Hispanic population is 26.1 percent Hispanic or Latino – the second highest at the university. According to the National Science Foundation, The University of Arizona has ranked 7th out of 384 institutions rewarding doctoral degrees to the most Hispanic or Latinx students.

University of California, Irvine has a Hispanic and Latino student population of 25.7 percent. The university has prides itself on being a federally recognized Hispanic-serving institution since 2017. The university has the UCI Orange County Alliance for a Latinx University which provides programs mentorships, and scholarships for Latinx students.

University of California, Riverside is ranked as the number one urban university for Hispanic enrollment with 38.7 percent of all students being Hispanic or Latino. Additionally, 41.5 percent of enrolled undergrads are Hispanic or Latino.

As a Hispanic-serving institution, UC Santa Barbara serves its Latinx community through a variety of resources, groups, and organizations. Such community resources include dozens of student organizations and student services like the Chicanx/Latinx Cultural Resource Center.

University of Central Florida has a Hispanic student population of 27.8 percent or 19,585 students. As part of the university’s HSI Initiative, the school dedicates itself to serving students through programs and opportunities to help Hispanic students succeed. Such programs include the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the CREAR Futuros, a peer-mentor program.

University of Colorado, Denver provides services and programs for the school’s Latinx community through the office of Diversity and Inclusion. The Latinx Student Services center advocates and supports Latinx students at the university.

University of Houston has a Hispanic student population of over 15,600 students and has ranked as a top university for degrees granted to Hispanic students. Through the Student Government Association, students can find a variety of resources such as the Las Comadres College Mentorship Program.

University of Illinois Chicago has a Hispanic student population of 35 percent and is one of 14 schools to earn the “Seal of Excelencia” which is a national certification for schools that are committed to serving Latino students. Additionally, the school supports the Latinx community through a variety of programs and scholarships.

University of Nevada, Las Vegas has a Hispanic student population of 29.8 percent or approximately 9,289 students. The university has a long list of resources for the Latinx student community including support through the office of Student Diversity & Social Justice.

The University of Texas at Austin provides support for the Hispanic student community through the Multicultural Engagement Center. Students can find resources and programs such as the Latino Community Affairs which promotes Latino culture through events.

58 percent of undergraduate students and 42.38% of graduate students at The University of Texas at San Antonio are Hispanic. To help Hispanic students succeed, the university provides support and resources such as counseling services, student success programs, and more.

UC Santa Cruz has an undergraduate Chicanx/Latinx population of 26.7 percent. As a Hispanic-serving institution, UC Santa Cruz has many internships, programs, and other resources for undergrads and graduate students.

University of New Mexico has an undergraduate Hispanic student population of 47.3 percent. El Centro de la Raza, provides guidance, resources, and advocacy for the school’s Hispanic/Latinx undergrad and graduate students.

25.7 percent of students at University of North Texas are Hispanic. The university supports their Hispanic students through curriculum, study programs, support programs, and student associations.

The University of Texas at Arlington is ranked third by U.S. News & World Report for the schools diversity of undergraduate students. At UTA, 27 percent of the undergraduate student population are Hispanic. UTA is ranked as a Hispanic-Serving Institution and an RI: Highest Research Activity university, making it one of only ten universities to achieve both.

At The University of Texas at El Paso 83 percent of students are Hispanic. The university also has the most Hispanic tenured faculty in the country (30 percent).
